両側に突き出すような独特の造形と、荒々しく盛り上がる釉薬表現が目を引く、彫刻的な存在感を持つ一点です。
全体に施された厚釉は、溶岩のように凝固し、凹凸のある表情を生み出しています。グレーからブラックを基調に、ターコイズグリーンがにじむように混ざり合い、ファットラバならではの有機的で力強い景色を描いています。胴部のレリーフ装飾や、ハンドルと注ぎ口を思わせる左右非対称のフォルムが、当時の西ドイツ陶器の実験的なデザイン性を色濃く感じさせます。

This Fat Lava vase, of unknown origin, was made in West Germany during the 1960s-1970s.
Its unique form, with protruding edges on both sides, and the roughly raised glaze create a striking, sculptural presence.
The thick glaze applied to the entire piece solidifies like lava, creating a textured surface. A base of gray to black, blended with turquoise green, paints a powerful, organic landscape characteristic of Fat Lava. The relief decoration on the body and the asymmetrical form reminiscent of a handle and spout strongly reflect the experimental design spirit of West German ceramics from that era.
