Vintage Glass Flower Vase ヴィンテージ ガラスベース [ウィルヘルム・ワーゲンフェルド - WMF] SW_22

Produced in the 1950s by the renowned German manufacturer WMF, this glass vase was designed by Bauhaus-trained designer Wilhelm Wagenfeld.

Known as the “Heart Vase,” this piece is distinguished by its soft and luminous light blue tone. The upper section remains almost colorless and transparent, while the blue gradually deepens toward the lower portion, creating a quiet gradation and gentle shadow.

The form combines a rounded, flattened body with a low and softly expanding opening, resulting in a silhouette that balances stability with visual lightness. Within its stripped-back simplicity, the vase reflects Wagenfeld’s characteristic sense of rational proportion and refined sculptural beauty.

Subtle movement within the glass and tiny air bubbles can be seen inside the material, creating a water-like shimmer when illuminated by light.
