フランス、ドイツ等、ヨーロッパのアンティークグレインサックです。手紡ぎのリネン糸で織られた厚手の生地は、ざっくりとした平織りで構成されており、繊維の不均一さによるネップや織りムラが随所に見られる、素朴で豊かな表情が特徴です。
中央には赤のラインが複数本並行して織り込まれており、わずかに揺らぎのあるラインが手仕事ならではの温かみを感じさせます。生成りのベースとのコントラストも美しく、シンプルながら空間のアクセントとしても映えるデザインです。
また、ブルーや赤のスタンプや手書きの文字が残されており、当時の所有者や用途を想起させる一点ものの魅力があります。使い込まれたことで生まれた柔らかさと、もともとのしっかりとした厚みを併せ持った質感も魅力です。
口部分には紐が通されており、袋状の構造をそのまま残したディテールもポイントです。
全体にシミや汚れ、擦れなどの使用感が見られますが、大きなダメージはなく、アンティークとして良好なコンディションです。

An antique European grain sack from France, Germany, and other parts of Europe. Woven from hand-spun linen yarn, the thick fabric features a coarse plain weave with visible slubs and irregularities throughout, giving it a rich texture and rustic character unique to traditional handmade textiles.
Several parallel red stripes run through the center of the fabric, their slightly uneven lines reflecting the warmth and charm of handwoven craftsmanship. The contrast between the red stripes and the natural linen base creates a simple yet striking design that works beautifully as a decorative accent in any space.
The piece also retains original blue and red stamps and handwritten markings, adding a one-of-a-kind quality that hints at its former owner and practical use. The fabric has softened naturally through years of use while still maintaining the sturdy weight and durability characteristic of antique grain sacks.
