A vintage collection manufactured in the 1960s-1970s by Lauscha Glass in East Germany.

This is a beautiful flower vase made from Lauscha blown glass.

It is a stunning flower vase crafted from vibrant raspberry-colored glass, with an opening that resembles delicate petals, creating an elegant and charming wine glass-like form. Its refined design is truly striking.

East Germany had its own industrial system with state-owned enterprises called VEB established in various regions, each specializing in different industries.

This product is a thin, delicate glass vase crafted by a glassblower in Lauscha, Thuringia, a region known for its flourishing glass industry, between the 1960s and 1970s. Its flowing, futuristic form reflects the Space Age design popular at the time.

Although it cannot be definitively identified due to the absence of a mark, based on its style, it is likely the work of the renowned glass artist Albin Schaedel, or produced in his workshop.

Albin Schaedel

Schaedel is an innovative Thuringian glass artist with international renown.

Hailing from a family with 200 years of glassmaking tradition, his father was a bead maker. He worked as a glass bead maker in his father's workshop, began his apprenticeship in 1924, and became a craftsman under Edmund Müller in Neuhaus from 1927.

In 1952, he passed his master's examination and was recognized by the examination board of master glassblowers and the Visual Artists Association.

Schaedel was a highly experimental glass artist. He refined and developed assembly techniques ("skull technique") in his art, such as the design of vessels blown in front of a lamp. He was one of the most prolific and influential glass artists of his time.
