This is a Fat Lava vase from the 1960s-1970s, made in West Germany by an unknown kiln.
With its unique protruding shape on both sides and rough,盛り上がった glaze expression, it is a sculptural piece that catches the eye.

The thick glaze applied to the entire surface has solidified like lava, creating a textured surface. With a base of gray to black, turquoise green blends in like a stain, depicting an organic and powerful landscape unique to Fat Lava. The relief decoration on the body and the asymmetrical form reminiscent of a handle and spout strongly convey the experimental design of West German pottery of that era.

Not only is it practical for arranging flowers, but it also has a presence that makes it the centerpiece of any space simply by being displayed as an object. It pairs well with mid-century, vintage, and industrial interiors, and is also recommended as a collector's item.

Although no manufacturer's mark can be confirmed, this is a distinctive vintage ceramic vase that fully embodies the charm of the Fat Lava style, symbolizing West German pottery culture of the 1960s-70s.

This is a vintage item in good condition, with no cracks, chips, or other damage, but as a vintage item from the 1960s-1970s, there may be some signs of age such as scuffs, small scratches, or uneven glaze. Please understand this as part of its charm before purchasing.

※As vintage items are from a bygone era, please purchase with the understanding that they are pre-owned. Additionally, due to the porous nature of ceramic material, there is a possibility of water leakage due to deterioration over time.We recommend using it for decorative purposes.
