This is a glass vase by Wilhelm Wagenfeld, a Bauhaus-trained designer, manufactured in the 1950s by the prestigious German manufacturer WMF.

This "Heart Base" has gently sloping shoulders and a tall, slender mouth. The thicker base enhances stability, making it an excellent piece not only as a vase but also as an object. The faint tourmaline color adds to its charm, and it was a commercial success.

Its rounded, soft form, while simple, exudes a refined beauty, and its appeal lies in Wagenfeld's characteristic balance of functionality and aesthetic form. The pale smoke-toned glass gently transmits light, adding a quiet presence to any space. Despite its small size, it has the presence of an objet d'art, beautifully showcasing a single flower or a small green plant.

WMF, founded in 1853, is a leading German manufacturer that has produced numerous excellent design products throughout its long history. This piece is also a vintage item that reflects 1950s modern design, allowing one to easily enjoy Wagenfeld's aesthetic sense.

Although there are minor scratches due to age, the overall condition remains excellent. This glass vase, with its vintage charm, can be enjoyed alongside various sizes and designs, allowing one to appreciate the differences in form and beautiful balance.
