A series of leather animals produced in the 1960s by DERU, a German workshop that existed from 1950 to the early 1970s.
The workshop manufactured leather toys as teaching materials in the 1950s and supplied them to German schools, but in the 60s, they began to produce these animals with their complex structures.
The "DERU" animals, crafted from a single piece of natural leather using exceptional techniques of cutting, bending, pressing, and riveting, were re-evaluated for their charm years after the workshop ceased to exist and became collectible items with collectors worldwide, affectionately known as "German ORIGAMI."
Height 16.5cm / Length 25cm / Width 10cm
