Our leather teddy bears are made from full grain UK sourced cowhide leather. The leather is quite thick (1.4/1.6mm) which gives the bear a feeling of substance. The leather bear is firmly filled with wood-wool, a traditional filling for teddy bears, and hand-worked to give the bear its shape. Finally, the leather is hand stained to give an antique effect, then waxed and polished to give a luxurious finish.

The leather used by OMERSA is treated as a natural material, embracing wrinkles and scratches as unique characteristics. The surface is not acrylic-coated, preserving its natural texture. Therefore, products may feature natural wrinkles and scratches. With use and over time, the color will deepen and develop a sheen, and scratches and wrinkles will become unique marks of the owner's use. As the surface is not coated, color transfer may occur. Please exercise sufficient caution. Also, as it is very sensitive to moisture, if water or moisture gets on it, please gently wipe it off with a damp cloth or similar. For color fading repair, please use a water-based, permanent repair agent. Wipe off any dirt with a cloth moistened with lukewarm water.
