A handmade leather rhinoceros from OMERSA, the long-established British leather brand. Medium size.
Founder Dimitri Omersa created this size in the 1960s as an exclusive for Liberty of London; pieces from that era carry a "LIBERTY" stamp inside the ear. The leather is cut to make the most of the natural markings around the neck. It works as a footstool or occasional seat.

About OMERSA
A British brand that launched its first pig footstool at Liberty of London in 1927. Every piece is still made by hand, one at a time, by craftsmen at the workshop in Lincolnshire, England. Inside the cowhide is a wood and metal frame, hand-packed with wood wool to form the animal's shape.
About the leather
The leather has a natural, uncoated finish, so creases and marks that come with a natural material remain as part of its character. With use, the color deepens and the leather develops a soft sheen.
Because the surface is not coated, color may transfer. The leather does not like water: if it gets wet, gently blot it with a dry cloth. Wipe off dirt with a cloth dampened with lukewarm water.
