The lion was first developed in the 1960’s in our trademark mahogany brown. For a picture of the original lion, go to “Owners Club” and select the sub menu “Old Friends circa 1965”. In 1974, an Arabian prince commissioned a golden lion; further pieces were made in this colour until the 1980’s but it is no longer available today. Our leather lion is an impressive piece with his full leather mane which is hand dyed, cut and stripped before attaching to the main body of leather. This size is slightly tall for use as a footstool but can be used as an occasional seat.

ATTENTION

The leather used by OMERSA considers wrinkles and scratches, which are inherent to natural materials, as unique characteristics. The surface is not acrylic coated, allowing for a natural finish. Therefore, wrinkles and scratches will be visible on the product as part of its natural expression. As it is used and time passes, the color will deepen and gain luster, and scratches and wrinkles will become a unique character for the user. Since the surface is not coated, there is a possibility of color transfer. Please be very careful. Also, as it is very susceptible to moisture, if water or moisture gets on it, gently wipe it off with a disposable cloth. Preparation for color fading repair: Use a water-based, permanent repair agent. Wipe off any dirt with a cloth soaked in lukewarm water.
