We couldn’t resist adding our “dumbo” to the range in 2003. The cutist thing with big flappy ears and ivory leather tusks. This leather elephant is slightly too small to be used as an adult footstool, but he makes a lovely home decorative piece. The product is hand made by Omersa from British cowhide leather. Inside the leather, there is a sturdy wooden and metal frame firmly surrounded by woodwool; the woodwool is hand worked to give the shape of the animal. Once assembled, the leather is stained to give an “antique” effect in mahogany brown, then waxed and polished to give a luxurious finish.

ATTENTION

The leather used by OMERSA treats wrinkles and scratches unique to natural materials as individuality, and is finished without acrylic coating on the surface, making the most of its natural expression. Therefore, wrinkles and scratches will appear as they are in the product. As it is used over time, the color will deepen and become glossier, and scratches and wrinkles will become unique characteristics of the user. Since the surface is not coated, there is a possibility of color transfer. Please be careful. Also, as it is very vulnerable to moisture, if water or moisture gets on it, gently wipe it off with a disposable cloth or similar. Preparation for color fading repair: Use a water-based, permanent repair agent. Wipe off any dirt with a cloth dampened with lukewarm water.
