Our large leather elephant is a stately beast with lovely big ears and ivory leather tusks! He is too tall to be used as a footstool but is suitable to be used as an occasional seat.The product is hand made by Omersa from British cowhide leather. Inside the leather there is a sturdy metal and wooden frame firmly surrounded by woodwool; the woodwool is hand worked to give the shape of the animal. Once assembled, the leather is stained to give an “antique” effect, then waxed and polished to give a luxurious finish. There is wire sewn in to the edges of the ears to keep them upright.

ATTENTION
The leather used by OMERSA treats wrinkles and scratches, which are inherent to natural materials, as unique characteristics. It is finished without acrylic coating on the surface, preserving its natural expression. Therefore, wrinkles and scratches will be present in the product as part of its natural appearance. With continued use and the passage of time, the color will deepen and gain luster, and even scratches and wrinkles will develop into a unique character. Since there is no surface coating, color transfer may occur. Please be very careful. Also, as it is very sensitive to moisture, if water or moisture gets on it, please wipe it off gently with a dry cloth or similar. Preparation for color fading repair: Please use a water-based, permanent repair agent. Wipe off any dirt with a cloth dipped in lukewarm water.
