---About ES Keramik---

ES Keramik (ES Ceramic) was established in 1921 by Fuss & Emons, producing decorative and industrial ceramics. In 1948, due to the war and economic recovery, the company was divided, and both operations continued at the factory in Rheinbach. ES Keramik was managed by Josef Emons and primarily focused on the production of artistic ceramics. From 1954 to 1974, Willi Hack led the decoration department, utilizing his experience as a porcelain and glass painter. Hans Kraemer was responsible for shape design from 1952 to 1968, creating 20 to 25 new designs each year. Although ES Keramik achieved considerable success, it lagged behind other companies like Scheurich in the production of artistic ceramics. In 1971, the company celebrated its 50th anniversary with 70 employees, exporting approximately a quarter of its products to countries such as Canada and Australia.

ES Keramik's designs are distinctive, characterized by complex glaze colors. White clay is used, and the glaze is applied all the way to the bottom, making the marks difficult to read. Model numbers and size indications are usually separated by a hyphen or a slash. Later pieces may also have a gold foil label.

☆FAT LAVA

Refers to ceramics manufactured in Germany from the 1960s to the 1970s.

It is characterized by a unique surface finish likened to lava and vivid, brightly colored hues. There are many enthusiastic collectors in Europe, and it is often handled by vintage and select shops in Japan today.

*Vintage items are old, so please understand that they are pre-owned. If you are concerned about this, please refrain from purchasing. Also, we do not inspect items with water inside. Due to the porous nature of ceramic material, there is a possibility of water leakage due to deterioration over time.

We recommend using it for decorative purposes.

*It is in good vintage condition with no cracks, chips, or flakes.

Please also note that there may be some color discrepancies between the images and the actual product.
