Designer Ryohei Kawanishi has announced a new project called "AIR GARMENTS".

The project focuses on current social issues and expresses sustainability in his works. The first project is collaboration with Nishikawa Shokai, an automobile recycling company in Tottori, Japan, and consisted of nine styles made from the company's used automobile airbags, which were stripped and reused as textiles.

Prototypes are based on Kawanishi's personal clothes includes the Air N-65 mod coat, the Air Arm Strong bomber jacket, the Air Sympatex inspired by the FedEx jacket, the Air Indigo in the form of a denim jacket, the Air N65 shirt jacket, Air Zip-Up shirt jacket, Air Teacher coach jacket, Air Labour shorts , Air Baggage tote bag , and Air Head bucket hat.

The collection is available in two sizes, with the women's size in red and the men's size in blue.
