Children of the discordanceと日本とアフリカのファッションを繋ぐプロジェクトFACE.A-Jが2021年秋冬コレクションを上野の東京国立博物館にて公開した。コレクションのテーマは「dawn（夜明け）」。「このコレクションに夜明けという名前を付けたかったのは、やがて悪いことが終わり、夜の後にはいつも朝があると感じたからです。また、このコレクションは、Children of theDiscordanceの新たな始まりを表していると感じています。自粛していた期間に自分の人生を振り返り、ファッションと出会ってからの事を思い返した。今まで忘れていた感覚や思い出と再会し、スポーツウェアや今まで使用してこなかったミリタリーウェアのアーカイブを取り入れた」と志鎌氏は説明。新しいコレクションでは、ブランドを象徴するビンテージ素材を解体再構築しアップデートしたアイテムやスポーツウェアやミリタリーウェアのアーカイブをモチーフにしたものに加えて、アフリカの職人によって制作された刺繍やアフリカの生地で作られたさまざまなプロダクトを展開、コレクションにより壮大な世界観と凛とした空気を持たせている。下記よりコレクションをご覧頂きたい。

Children of the discordanceのPOP UPイベントが新宿伊勢丹 Isetan Mens Creatorsにて明日より開催。イベントでは、21年秋冬コレクションの新作が並ぶ他、限定アイテムも発売される。明日から8月24日まで一週間のみの開催となるので是非足を運んで頂きたい。(8/17更新)

Children of the discordance and FACE.A-J (Fashion and Culture Exchange Africa Japan) unveiled Autumn Winter 2021 Collection at Rakuten Tokyo Fashion Week. This collection Incorporating heavily-patterned fabrics and hand-stitched embroidery provided by regional artisans.This collection is named dawn. “I wanted to name this collection dawn, as I feel that bad things will eventually be over and there will always be a morning after the night. I also feel this collection somehow represents a new beginning for Children of The discordance. The night is not never-ending. Night will always transition to a new morning” said the Japanese designer. “In the past months of pandemic, I had the time to jog back my past memories and reevaluate my perception of fashion in retrospect. I wanted to restate what Children of the discordance is really about. I felt something was missing. That made me decide to add in more sportswear elements and to incorporate for the first time in my collec-tion military-wear archives" AW21 collection will convey a military and sportswear inspiration also in the textile design and in the graphics designs features. Fabrics include vintage 80’s & 90’s cot-ton, 80’s denim, hand dyeing nylon and double-faced wool fabrics in a winter color palette which combines black and white with khaki green, maroon and teal.
