OTB has appointed its chief executive officer Ubaldo Minelli to the CEO of the JIL SANDER.

Diesel、Marni、Maison Margielaなどのレーベルを所有するOTBは、世界的な新型コロナウィルスの大流行の影響を受け、2020年の売上高が14％減少したと発表。そんな中、MAISON MARGIELAの売り上げは同期間に20％増加。MM6×TheNorthFaceやReebokなどのコラボレーションのヒットなどが影響したようだ。また、 CEOのUbaldo Minelli氏は、ジルサンダー買収に関するニュースいついて近々アナウンスがあるとコメント。間も無く、動きがありそうだ。

OTBがOnward Holdingsより100% Jil Sanderを買収したことを発表。オンワードは、新型コロナウィルスの感染拡大などの影響を受け、不採算事業の縮小や撤退を行っており、不採算となっているジルサンダー S.p.A.事業を譲渡することがグローバル事業構造改革の観点から最善の選択であると判断したとコメントしている。(3/6更新)

OTB, the conglomerate that owns labels including Diesel, Marni and Maison Margiela, has announced that its overall consolidated turnover dropped by 14% (Down to approximately $1.6 billion USD) during 2020. Specially they got financial impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic. However, MAISON MARGIELA's revenues rose by 20% over the same period. They released strong collaborations includes MM6×The North Face, and Reebok. The CEO Ubaldo Minelli said news about a JIL SANDER acquisition could come "very soon."

OTB has officially announced that it has acquired 100 percent of JIL SANDER from Japanese fashion conglomerate Onward Holdings. "We have determined that transferring the unprofitable JIL SANDER S.p.A. business is the best choice from the perspective of global business structural reform said Onward Holdings.(Updates March 6th)
