PHENOMENON founder Takeshi Osumi passed away at the age of 47.

デザイナーのオオスミタケシ氏が1月24日、敗血症のため47歳で死去したことが明らかになった。オオスミ氏は、ヒップホップユニットSHAKKAZOMBIEとして音楽活動を行う傍ら、ストリートブランドSWAGGERを立ち上げ人気を集めた。2004年には、ラグジュアリーとストリートを融合させた初期のブランドPHENOMENONを立ち上げた。その後2012年にはセレクトショップTHE CONTEMPORARY FIXのオーナーである吉井雄一氏と共にMISTERGENTLEMENをスタート。オオスミ氏が病室で制作していたMISTERGENTLEMEN 2021AWコレクションは、3月に東京ファッションウィークにて公開される。

 

Takeshi Osumi has died at the age of 47. He was a musician and also founder of three famous brands such as SWAGGER, PHENOMENON and MISTERGENTLEMAN. He become famous as a member of hip hop group SHAKKAZOMBIE in 1996. After success of SWAGGER, he debuted PHENOMENON in 2004.  PHENOMENON was an early proponent of streetwear and luxury collaborations. He unveiled joint project MISTERGENTLEMAN with Mr Yoshii in 2012. His final MISTERGENTLEMAN collection, Autumn Winter 2021 Collection will be unveiled at Tokyo Fashion Week in March. He worked on this collection from the hospital until his passing.
