Off White released OffKat Collection.

Off-White™の創設者兼クリエイティブ・ディレクターであるヴァージル・アブローは、ニューヨークを拠点とするグラフィティーライター KATSUとのコラボレーション「OffKat」を発表。ウィメンズウェアとメンズウェアのコレクション、マルチパートのデジタルインターフェイスとビデオゲームの包括的なコレクションのローンチを記念して、北京とNYでイベントを開催。

KATSUは、2000年代初頭にニューヨークのグラフィティーシーンで注目を集めた。最近では、アート、グラフィック、ダークテック、ハッキング、バンダリズムと多岐に渡る分野に表現の幅を広げています。実験的な作品に挑戦することでも知られ、ドローンペインティング（最近話題になったケンダル・ジェンナーが起用されたニューヨークの巨大ビルボードにドローンを使ったタギング）から彫刻まで多岐にわたる。このコラボレーションのきっかけはKATSUのファンであったヴァージルが彼のインスタグラムページにはまったことから始まった。KATSUの世界観を洋服やアクセサリーに再解釈し、バーチャルな観点から覗き見をするような視点で表現をしている。同コレクションは、発売中。

 

Virgil Abloh, founder and creative director of Off-White™, has teamed up with New York-based graffiti artist KATSU for a collaboration called OffKat. Events were held in Beijing and New York to celebrate the launch of the comprehensive collection of womenswear and menswear, multi-part digital interfaces and video games.

KATSU first came to prominence in the New York graffiti scene in the early 2000s. Recently, he has broadened his expression into a wide range of fields including art, graphics, dark tech, hacking, and vandalism. He is also known for taking on experimental works, ranging from drone painting to sculpture.
